          Chief Albert John Mvumbi Luthuli, Africa’s first Nobel Peace Prize Laureate in , was President-General of the African National Congress (ANC) from December until his death in Chief Luthuli was the most widely known and respected African leader of his era.

          He is the first Nepali known to date to write and publish in the English language.
